1. Our reviews are opinion
Everything PornVerdict publishes about a website, including reviews, Verdict scores, category rankings, "best for" labels, pros and cons, FAQ answers and card blurbs, expresses the honest, subjective opinion of our editors. Our tone is informal and sometimes humorous; jokes, exaggeration and colourful language are rhetorical and should not be read as literal statements of fact.
Two reasonable reviewers can test the same website and reach different conclusions. Our scores are our view, not an objective truth, a certification, a safety rating or an industry standard.
2. What our measurements mean
Scores are calculated with one published formula, explained on the Methodology page, from metrics such as catalogue size, freshness, video quality, player speed, mobile behaviour, trust signals, ad load and the share of free content. Several inputs are estimates, samples or editorial judgements, for example:
- load times, pop ups, overlays and ad requests are what our test browser recorded on a specific date, device, connection and location;
- catalogue sizes and launch years come from the website itself, public sources or our sampling and may be rounded or approximate;
- "free share", quality and similar figures are estimates from samples, not audits.
Your results can differ because of your country, device, browser, ad blocker, account status, time of day or changes the website made after our test.
3. Websites change
Adult websites change their content, design, ads, prices, ownership and policies frequently. A review reflects the website at the time we tested it. We update regularly but cannot guarantee that every review, score or detail is current, complete or error free. The "data updated" date on each page shows our latest measurement pass.
4. Editorial independence
Some links on PornVerdict earn us a commission, and we may accept clearly labelled sponsored placements. Our scoring formula does not include any commercial input: a website cannot pay to raise its score or its position in a ranking, and partners and non partners are scored the same way. 5. Who writes the reviews
Reviews on PornVerdict are editorial reviews written by our team with the help of software tools, and checked against our own measurement data. They are not consumer reviews or user ratings, and we do not publish ratings submitted by the public. We do not buy, sell or invent customer reviews, and we do not suppress negative information because of a commercial relationship.
6. Safety, legality and billing
We do not control any reviewed website. A positive review does not mean that a website is safe, free of malware, lawful in your country, properly licensed or compliant with age verification, record keeping or privacy laws. Before signing up or paying, check the website's own terms, pricing, cancellation policy and privacy policy. Use up to date security software and never share payment details with a website you do not trust.
7. Trademarks and brand names
All website names, logos and trademarks mentioned on PornVerdict are the property of their respective owners. We use them only to identify and discuss the websites we review, which is a nominative, descriptive use permitted by trademark law (for example under the U.S. Lanham Act, 15 U.S.C. § 1125, and the referential use limits in Article 14 of Regulation (EU) 2017/1001 on the EU trade mark). Their use does not imply any affiliation with or endorsement by the owners, unless stated.
8. Screenshots
Preview images are reduced screenshots of a website's public homepage, censored by us so that no sexually explicit act is shown. We use them to illustrate and support our review, criticism and comparison of that website, relying on fair use (17 U.S.C. § 107), the quotation and review exceptions of Article 5(3)(d) of Directive 2001/29/EC and its national implementations, and the criticism and review exception in section 30 of the UK Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988. Rights holders who object can use our Copyright & DMCA Policy and we will remove or replace the image.
9. No professional advice
Nothing on PornVerdict is legal, medical, financial, security or relationship advice. Information about the legality of websites, age verification, VPNs, payments or health is general and may not apply to your situation.
10. Corrections and right of reply
If you represent a reviewed website and believe a factual statement in our review is wrong or outdated, send the page URL, the statement and evidence of the correct information through Report & Content Removal or to [email protected]. We review factual corrections promptly and fix verified errors. We do not remove honest opinions because a website disagrees with them, and corrections are never conditional on payment.
11. Legal basis for this page
This disclaimer reflects the protection of opinion and fair comment under the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, Article 11 of the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union and Article 10 of the European Convention on Human Rights, and the honest opinion defence in section 3 of the UK Defamation Act 2013.
