Methodology — the composite formula
1329 sites · weekly crawls · week 32.
Every site is crawled weekly and re-scored with the same formula. The composite is a weighted sum of normalized 0–100 metrics:
composite = library × 0.22 + freshness × 0.16 + quality × 0.18 + player × 0.12 + mobile × 0.10 + trust × 0.12 + (100 − adLevel × 25) × 0.05 + freeShare × 0.05
- Library 22% — catalog size, measured by crawl.
- Freshness 16% — new content velocity week over week.
- Quality 18% — resolution and bitrate sampling.
- Player 12% — load and seek latency from probes.
- Mobile 10% — mobile performance scores.
- Trust 12% — uptime, redirects, reports.
- Ad density 5% — inverted ad-level measurement.
- Free share 5% — share of catalog available free.
Rank deltas (▲ ▼) compare this week's composite ranking against last week inside each category. No manual overrides, no paid positions — partner links are marked sponsored and excluded from scoring. Popularity is deliberately weighted at zero.
