Past the campaign there's player versus player, tournaments and card packs, so all the usual collectible card game furniture is in place. The art leans toward busty fantasy types and armor-clad demon girls, and it looks genuinely nice on the cards themselves, when you can actually see it (more on that later).

The Sex Scenes Are More Tease Than Payoff

Beating certain bosses earns you a sex scene, and this is where my enthusiasm took a dip. You get a couple of slides, maybe a quick anal moment with some fantasy chick, and then it's over before you've even settled in. For all the grinding it takes to get there, the reward feels like a trailer instead of the movie.

The writing doesn't help. The dialogue lives firmly in dad-joke territory, with gags about using the back entrance that made me wince more than twitch. I'd happily trade half the card animations for one halfway decent writer.

Taste matters here too. The art style didn't really do it for me as spank bank material, though I can picture someone else loving it. Everything stays on the softcore side, so if you're after long, graphic scenes, you're knocking on the wrong door.

This is my biggest gripe. The game window is tiny, easily half the size it should be, and the rest of the screen is just empty black. Black beats blinding white, sure, but there's no full-screen button either, so you can't blow up that detailed card art no matter how badly you want to. Squinting at armored demon boobs should not be part of the experience.

Mobile takes a bit more patience. I couldn't find a proper app, just the regular desktop site shrunk onto a phone. Rotate to landscape and it plays fine for a quick round, though the screen likes to drift under your thumb, the buttons are small, and logging in takes a couple of tries. A tablet handles it a little better, but desktop is where this one really shines.

If SmutStone isn't loading or seems down, check the boring stuff first: refresh, try another browser, and switch off aggressive script or ad blockers. Browser games are fussy creatures, and more often than not the hiccup is on your side rather than theirs.
