PalComix review

6.5/10

palcomix.com · best for free browsing

PalComix is for a very particular kind of pervert. You miss the old Flash era of cartoon parody smut, you like your spank bank drawn by hand, and you get a kick out of famous animated characters redrawn as grown, horny, extremely willing adults. If you're after HD video or slick streaming, this isn't that kind of site. If you want hand-drawn nostalgia with zero pop-ups, pull up a chair.

The site has been online since 2005 and still pitches itself as the home base for adult cartoon parody comics. That kind of staying power earns some respect. It also means the place looks exactly like you'd expect a site from 2005 to look, so if you've been googling for the palcomix old site, relax. It never really got a new one. And yes, if you typed pal comics, palcomics or pallcomix into a search bar at 2 a.m., you landed in the right place, and nobody here is grading your spelling.

Here's the short version. You don't need an account to read, about 85% of the content is free, and I didn't run into a single pop-up. The catch is the design. Finding the comics takes a bit of scrolling, and a few buttons have their quirks, but once you know the route it gets quick.

Welcome to 2005: The PalComix Homepage

After the age check, the first thing that smacks you is a giant flashing banner for something called Pietro's club. From what I could piece together, it's about personalized goodies and forum perks. It features a couple of ahegao girls who are honestly hot. Clicking it does absolutely nothing, which is a bold choice for the first thing every visitor sees.

The color scheme is bright white with boxes in orange, yellow and black. It's the web design equivalent of cargo pants and a spiky fauxhawk. I half expected a guestbook and a hit counter to show up at the bottom.

Then comes the scroll. Promo boxes for artists (fair enough, I like that they push their creators), a note thanking fans for sticking around through rough times, a big plug for their hentai membership network, more artist promos. I was starting to think the comics were a rumor. Keep going, though. They're down there, I promise.

Finding the Goods (Pack a Lunch)

Once you finally reach the list, it's actually pretty readable. Everything runs A to Z, and each entry tells you which show or franchise it's parodying, the comic's title, who drew it and what kinks are inside. That last bit is handy, because you know going in whether you're getting a straightforward bang or something weirder.

The library is small. There are a bit over 100 comics in the free listing, which feels thin for a site that's been around this long. On the bright side, that makes the lack of a search bar survivable. There's no filter and no search box at all, so Ctrl+F became my best friend, and with a list this size you can eyeball the whole thing over a coffee.

When you click a title, you don't go straight to the comic. You land on an in-between page first, and you have to spot the small link at the bottom to move on. It's not a scam or a trap, just one more speed bump on the way to your wank material.

Reading PalComix for Free: Great Art, Clunky Controls

Each comic opens as a grid of page thumbnails. Pick one, and from there you click the image itself to jump to the next page. Pages loaded quickly for me, and the art quality is genuinely good across most of what I read. These are fans who can draw, not someone scribbling in MS Paint.

My big gripe is the lack of arrow key support. When one hand is busy, you really want to tap a key to flip pages, not chase a mouse cursor across the screen. It's a small thing that ruins the rhythm fast.

You can skip ahead or hop back to the thumbnail grid, which is fine. What you can't do is jump back to the comics list or the homepage from inside a comic. There's no link or clickable logo for it. Your browser's back button does the job, or just keep the homepage open in a second tab and you're set. Old-school, but easy once you get used to it.

The Menu of Broken Promises (and One Good Forum)

The top bar lists comics, gallery, forum, 3D modeling, Patreon, store, Pal VIP and Mobius Unleashed. Sounds like a lot. In practice, several of them hop over to other sites, and a couple aren't doing much right now. The comics button is a funny one: on the few pages that keep the original menu, it lands on an error page. No harm done, since the comics live on the homepage anyway, so just start there.

Gallery bounces you over to jabarchives.com, where the owner keeps a personal gallery page with exactly two galleries, one from 2015 and one from 2017. Not exactly a busy feed. The 3D modeling tab goes to Sketchfab and shows the owner's models, which are more semi-lewd DeviantArt vibes than actual porn. They do take commissions, so if you want a specific character modeled for 3D printing, that door is open.

The store also points to jabarchives and it's closed, so I have no clue what it sold or for how much. Patreon is just a Patreon page, and nobody needs a tour of that.

The forum is where PalComix earns its keep. It's properly alive, with plenty of fresh threads posted the same day I checked, covering comics, artists, collabs and general chatter. The one annoyance is that the logo, colors and menus all change when you go in there, so it feels like you've wandered onto a different site. Still, the community is the most up-to-date part of this whole operation.

PalComix VIP, Mobius Unleashed and the Mobile Situation

There are two paid routes. Pal VIP gets you into the whole HentaiKey network, plus the full comic archive and the option to contribute content. Honestly, I'm pretty sure you can submit work for free just by emailing them, so that perk is a bit of a stretch. Mobius Unleashed looks like a smaller bundle of porn comic sites for its own fee. I couldn't find clear prices on either one, so check the checkout page before you commit.

Don't bother hunting for an app. I couldn't find one, and there isn't even a real mobile layout. On a phone you get the desktop site squeezed down, which means lots of pinching and zooming. Everything technically works, and there's no ad spam on mobile either, but browsing it felt like reading a newspaper through a keyhole.

As for safety, I had zero issues. No pop-ups, no redirect chains, no demand for an email or a card just to read. If something seems down or isn't working, it's more likely one of the site's own broken tabs than an outage. Try the homepage before you panic.

My Honest Take on PalComix

I'll be honest, this one grew on me. The comics themselves are fun, the art is solid, and the site actually promotes the artists who make the stuff, which I respect. The forum is lively, and the total lack of pop-ups is a genuine relief in this corner of the internet.

The stuff around the comics is old-school, sure. A splash banner that goes nowhere, some tabs that hop to other domains, no search, no arrow keys, no real mobile version. The free library is on the small side too, but that makes it easy to browse in one sitting, and every page I read looked great.

If you want sheer volume with faster browsing, a place like SVSComics or MultPorn will feed you quicker. XYZComics is another decent option, and my list of the best comics sites has plenty more. But if cartoon parodies are your thing and you love hand-drawn art, a pop-up free read and a forum that's actually buzzing, PalComix is for you. Give it an evening and say hi on the forum.

Craving more than parodies? SVSComics hoards well over 90,000 comics from countless artists, no signup, zero site ads, and it reads nicely on your phone. Files live off-site.

#2 Comics

Sites like PalComix rarely go this deep: Western comics, uncensored hentai manga, toon videos and free games, all ad-free, though comic downloads lack one-click buttons.

#3 Comics

Where PalComix sticks to cartoon parodies, XYZComics mixes English hentai, Western, 3D and parody smut, ad-free, signup-free and comfy on a phone. Search snoozes.

#1 Hentai manga

Jumping from cartoon parodies to Japanese doujinshi? nHentai piles up over 160,000 free galleries, laser-precise tags and a clean, nearly ad-free layout. No GIFs, though.

#1 Manhwa hentai

Crisp HD art replaces grainy SD scans here: adult manhwa that's roughly 90% free, needs no account, and keeps ads light. Paid chapters stay confusingly explained.

#1 3D porn

Drawn characters stay silent, yet real humans pilot every avatar here into filthy 3D sex, about 85% free and ad-free. Ordinary laptops tend to glitch.

#1 AI hentai

Zero ads, zero popups, just like your favorite comic archive, but these animated AI companions roleplay back. Annoyingly, free chats end right before nudity.

PalComix FAQ

Is PalComix safe to use?

Yes. I clicked around a lot and hit no pop-ups, no shady redirects and no pushy signup walls. You don't hand over an email or a card to read anything. Some tabs do bounce you to outside sites like jabarchives or Sketchfab, so just know where you're headed before clicking.

Is PalComix free?

Mostly. Around 85% of the content is free to read without an account. The rest sits behind paid options like Pal VIP, which adds the HentaiKey network and the full archive. I couldn't find posted prices, so check the checkout page yourself before paying for anything you can already read.

Why is PalComix not working?

Usually it's one of the site's own quirks rather than your connection. A few menu buttons lead to error pages, and the store tab is closed. If a comic or tab won't load, head back to the homepage and start from the main list, which works reliably. If the homepage itself won't open, it's likely a temporary outage, so try again a bit later.

Is there a PalComix app?

No. I couldn't find an app or even a proper mobile layout. Your phone just shows the full desktop page shrunk down, so expect plenty of pinching and zooming. It works, and there's no ad spam, but reading a longer comic that way gets tedious quickly on a small screen.

What do you get with PalComix VIP?

Access to the HentaiKey network, the site's comic archive and the option to contribute content. That last perk is a bit weak, since submitting by email seems to work for free anyway. Mobius Unleashed is a separate paid bundle of comic sites if you want even more to read.

What are the best PalComix alternatives?

Several. SVSComics and MultPorn both give you far more comics with easier browsing, and XYZComics is solid too. If you prefer animated stuff over panels, a good cartoon porn site is worth a look. Keep PalComix bookmarked mainly for the forum and the nostalgia.
