Landing on ShemaleZ: A Purple Wall of Thumbnails

The homepage hits you with purple first and thumbnails second. Up top there's a big grid of videos, and only after a good bit of scrolling do you reach the stuff I actually wanted early, like popular models, channels and the top rated picks. I'd flip that order in a heartbeat, since top rated is where a first timer should start. Nobody asked me, though.

The top bar is where you'll live. You get Videos, Categories, Models, Channels, Playlists and Community, plus a few extras, and each one does what the label promises. Categories is the quickest route to your particular itch. Models earns its keep once you've found a performer you want a lot more of.

It doesn't look modern. The whole thing feels like a site that's been renovated one room at a time since the early 2000s, a bit cluttered, a bit dated, but I never once got lost. Our browser test had the main content painted in about 1.7 seconds, which is perfectly acceptable for a page stuffed this full of previews.

This is where things get uneven. A good slice of the library is older, lower resolution footage that shows its age, so it's softer and grainier than what you'd get from a modern studio. Every clip also carries a site watermark near the top of the frame, which bugged me a little during darker scenes.

I'll give the watermark some credit, though. To me it reads as a sign the clips passed through the site's own hands instead of being scraped in blindly. There's also an HD tag you can hunt for, and I fully expected it to be a lie, because on free tubes it often is. It wasn't. The HD clips I opened looked genuinely sharp, and filtering for them turned the site from background noise into proper wank material.
